The results discussed the following issues:

  • challenges with visual-motor tasks and graphomotor skills
  • employed an immature pencil grip and exerted substantial pressure during drawing and writing activities. 
  • written output seemed laborious, as he frequently took breaks while spelling single words. 
  • an inclination to steer clear of writing activities.
  • persistent and increasing challenges with idea generation, thought organization, and elaboration of ideas when writing passages. 
  • handwriting is oversized for the given space, and the gap between his letters and words varies quite a bit. 
  • handwriting is often characterized by letter reversals such as ‘b-d’ and ‘p-q’; 
  • struggles with the application of grammatical norms like the correct use of capital letters and not skipping prepositions; a slower-than-average pace of writing; and difficulties maintaining the linearity of his text. 

This pattern of deficits is consistent with a diagnosis of developmental dysgraphia
